The Basic Assessment is open to anyone who has managed at least one colony of bees for a minimum of 12 months and is a prerequisite for anyone wishing to study for the BBKA module exams or husbandry assessments.  It is a practical assessment in the apiary to judge your skill and knowledge in handling the bees.

The course will consist of three theory sessions on Monday evenings in April and May followed by a practical session in the apiary. The dates for the theory evenings are 29th April and the 13th and 20th May at 7.30pm. The dates for the practical session and the actual assessment have yet to be set.

The cost of the course will be £15 per person to cover room hire and refreshments. There will also be a charge of £20, payable to BBKA, for the actual assessment.

If you are interested please contact Pam or Stuart Hatton tel: 01925 263023 or email: pamela.hatton200@btinternet.com or hattonstuart1@gmail.com for enquiries or to book a place.
